The Roto Grip IDOL Splash presents itself as a versatile ball from the popular IDOL series, using the eTrax-P20 Pearl Reactive coverstock to give the IKON core enough friction in the midlane. The proven Ikon core, originally introduced in March 2018 with the IDOL, has established itself as a favorite among professionals worldwide ever since. This low RG, high differential symmetric core revs up in the midlane and provides outstanding continuation through the backend, which makes it suitable for all player types and angles of attack. Comparison
Compared to the original IDOL with its MicroTrax-S18 solid cover, the pearl surface of the IDOL Splash gives it more length and a more angular reaction off the backend. While the IDOL Splash with its eTrax-P20 pearl coverstock is designed for medium conditions and stores energy for a solid backend reaction, the original IDOL was laid out primarily for heavier oil conditions. A comparison with Storm balls shows that the IDOL Splash offers versatility similar to the popular Storm IQ Tour, but with the characteristic Roto Grip reaction.
