- Hysteria

First Impressions
The Roto Grip Hysteria draws every eye with its striking Red and Yellow Solid design. At its center works the extremely high-performance symmetrical Late Roll 69 core, which shows a high RG of 2.580 and a strong differential of 0.049. This core is wrapped in the high-performance 73M Solid Reactive coverstock, finished out of the box with a shiny 1500 grit polished surface. The very high RG lets the core rotate only late, which in combination with the polished solid cover should make the ball glide extremely cleanly through the heads and generate a very powerful, almost asymmetrical-feeling motion.
Comparison
In a direct comparison with the Roto Grip Unhinged, which uses a pearl cover, the Hysteria shows a somewhat calmer and far steadier, more controlled reaction in the dry. Compared to the Storm Hy-Road, the Hysteria behaves very similarly on medium lanes and offers a powerful hook at the breakpoint. Once the transition sets in during play and friction on the outside boards increases, the polished solid cover takes good advantage of the dry to come off the spot explosively.
On the Lanes
The Roto Grip Hysteria was developed specifically for use on medium lane conditions. It lets you generate the hook you need to cross the boards effectively even on patterns that have been played in. The symmetrical core should optimize carry through a steady, massive entry angle into the pocket. For extremely dry conditions, however, this ball is overqualified; it burns its energy too late and reacts too hard.
