BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Roto Grip Hustle SAY comes in an eye-catching silver, aqua and yellow color combination. Inside, the symmetrical Hustle core works with a 2.530 RG and a 0.030 differential. For the cover, Roto Grip relies on the Pumped Hybrid Reactive coverstock, finished out of the box with a 1500 grit polished surface. This combination of medium RG and polished hybrid shell should let the ball glide through the heads extremely easily while storing a maximum of energy. The design aims for a clean motion that turns into a controlled but crisp hook on the backend.
Comparison
Compared to the Roto Grip Hustle PRO, which uses a pure pearl cover, the Hustle SAY delivers marginally more traction in the midlane thanks to the solid portion in its hybrid shell and reacts a touch smoother at the end of the oil pattern. Against a typical strong symmetrical ball like the Storm Phaze II, the Hustle SAY generates considerably less overall hook due to its lower differential. Once the transition sets in and the front part of the lane dries up, the Hustle SAY benefits from its polished surface. It reads friction much later than dull balls and therefore carries its energy more efficiently toward the pin deck.
On the Lanes
The Roto Grip Hustle SAY finds its preferred use on light to medium lane conditions. It is the logical choice if you have to move further inside after the oil pattern breaks down and need a ball that slides through the dry heads without trouble. The late hook helps you play moderate angles and still generate enough power for optimal carry. On heavily oiled lanes, however, the polished surface lacks the necessary traction, and the ball runs the risk of sliding through the pocket and missing it.
