BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The 900 Global Honey Badger Revival shows up in an eye-catching magenta-gold color combination and builds on the proven Honey Badger concept with one significant technical update. The new Grapnel 2.0 Asymmetric Core carries a medium RG of 2.54 inches, a total differential of 0.048 inches and an intermediate differential of 0.012 inches. The S70 Hybrid Reactive coverstock comes in a 1500 grit polished finish and marks the first time this cover technology has been used in the Honey Badger line. As one of the first balls out of the new 900 Global production facility in Utah, the Revival benefits from modernized manufacturing processes.
Comparison
The Grapnel 2.0 core is an evolution of the original Grapnel core and should provide even more length and aggressiveness at the breakpoint than the original version. Compared to the original 900 Global Honey Badger with its S71 Pearl cover, the Revival offers more traction in oil through the hybrid cover while retaining the same angularity. The later 900 Global Honey Badger Intensity builds on the success of the Revival, but uses an S70 solid cover with a 4000 Abralon finish for heavier oil conditions. The Revival follows the proven Honey Badger template, which is built around length and a sharp move off the breakpoint.
On the Lanes
The Honey Badger Revival is designed for dry to medium oil conditions. In practical testing it performed best on medium oil patterns. The hybrid cover should offer the best of both worlds — enough traction in the oil combined with an angular reaction in the drier areas. Power players benefit from the generous forgiveness both left and right, with shots missed inside still having enough traction to bite through the oil and still deliver sufficient pin carry. The ball motion tends to improve as the lanes break down and more friction develops. The Revival is a good fit if you're looking for controlled length with an explosive backend reaction on medium conditions.
