First Impressions
The Hammer Hazmat Pearl presents itself as an impressive evolution of the popular Hazmat series. With its eye-catching color combination of various shades of blue, white and cobalt, this ball immediately draws attention. A closer look reveals a ball that not only convinces visually, but above all impresses through its technical properties. At the heart of the Hazmat Pearl works the proven Hazmat core with its powerful symmetric numbers. In 15 pounds, the ball offers a low RG of 2.47 and a high differential of 0.055, which makes it one of the strongest symmetric cores on the market. This combination provides an early and controlled roll with strong flare potential. The Hazmat Pearl is fitted with the HK22 Semtex Pearl coverstock, polished to a factory finish combination of 500, 1000, 1500 Siair/Factory Compound. This surface allows the ball to glide effortlessly through the heads before it unleashes its power in the midlane and closes with an angular finish. The ball is designed for use on medium oil conditions and generates a strong midlane and backend reaction.

Where the Hazmat Solid reacts more smoothly and predictably, its Pearl sibling shows more energy retention and a more dynamic motion. Compared to Hammer's Black Widow series, in particular the Black Widow 2.0, the Hazmat Pearl positions itself as somewhat earlier and less aggressive, but with a better balance between control and reactivity. Compared with other pearl balls such as the Black Widow Mania or the Scorpion Strike, the Hazmat Pearl proves more controllable and more predictable. The ball offers length similar to the Scorpion Strike, but with a stronger and earlier reaction in the midlane thanks to the powerful Hazmat core.

On the Lanes
The Hazmat Pearl proves to be a versatile ball that works excellently both on fresh lanes and during transition. It is particularly well suited if you are looking for a reactive ball that also offers control and reacts neither too early nor too late. The balance between length and reaction makes it an excellent option for medium oil conditions. If you throw the ball fast with a lower rev rate, the Hazmat Pearl offers enough reactivity to create a good hook. If you have a higher rev rate, you'll appreciate the control and predictability of this ball, especially if you can play it a bit further right on the lane. A special feature of the Hazmat Pearl is its versatility across different friction conditions. On lanes with higher friction, the ball can be used without issue in its factory finish, while on oilier conditions a slight surface adjustment (for example removing the polish) can lead to a more consistent reaction. The Hazmat Pearl shows a remarkable ability to move and mix the pins, which comes down to its efficient energy transfer. The combination of early roll and strong reaction down the lane provides excellent carry and impressive strikes even on less than perfect hits.
