First Impressions
The Radical Guru Supreme shows up in a striking Black and Blue Solid color combination. The heart of this model is the hefty asymmetric Guru Core, which features a 2.501 RG, an extremely high differential of 0.052 and an intermediate differential of 0.018. The cover is an extremely strong solid reactive coverstock, sanded out of the box with a 500 and 1500 Siaair pad. The extremely strong core design combined with the highly coarse cover should make the ball bite brutally in oil and develop a massive, heavy roll phase.
Comparison
Compared to the original Radical Guru, the Guru Supreme digs even more aggressively in the midlane thanks to cover adjustments and delivers a more assertive asymmetric reaction at the breakpoint. Against the Storm Alpha Crux, the Guru Supreme creates a very similar, hard-hitting and early motion in the heaviest oil. Once the transition sets in and the front part of the lane dries up, the strong solid shell of the Guru Supreme tends to burn up its energy extremely early. It demands plenty of oil on the boards to work effectively.
On the Lanes
The Radical Guru Supreme finds its preferred home on the heaviest and longest lane conditions. It is the logical choice if you need a ball on fresh patterns that grabs hard in the midlane and still produces an asymmetric kick off the backend. The dependable reaction helps keep you from running past the breakpoint even at high volume. The ball should maximize carry through its massive drive. On dry or burned-up lanes this ball is completely useless, since it barely reaches the pins.
