First Impressions
The Game Breaker Asym comes in a striking blue-and-silver color combination and represents a significant evolution of the historic Game Breaker line, with the sides of the core shaved off. At its heart is the V2 Asymmetrical core with a 2.48 RG, a 0.054 differential and a 0.008 asymmetric differential. This core modification raises the intermediate differential to a moderate 0.008. The GB 12.0 Pearl surface is sanded with 500/1000/2000 Siaair and polished with Crown Factory Polish.
Comparison
The Game Breaker Asym is the most angular Game Breaker release to date. Head to head with the popular Ebonite Game Breaker 2 Phenom Pearl, the Asym reads about four boards stronger thanks to increased midlane traction and a sharper breakpoint. Compared to the hybrid version, this pearl generates less friction in the midlane but more off the end of the pattern. The ball shows no signs of instability on the back end at factory finish. Even on heavily oiled lanes, the Game Breaker Asym performs remarkably well for a shiny pearl ball.
On the Lanes
The Game Breaker Asym is designed for medium oil conditions and should deliver length with a strong backend. The moderate 0.008 asymmetric differential provides a defined difference when the shiny GB 12.0 Pearl surface reaches the end of the pattern. That combination makes the ball ideal for medium oil volumes with the signature ball motion of length and a strong backend. Its stable motion lets you follow the pattern left as it breaks down. If you're a power player, you'll appreciate the extra midlane traction and the sharp breakpoint, while the polished surface provides enough length for a controlled look on medium lane conditions.
