BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The SWAG Fusion bowling ball stands out with its striking design in black, pink and purple, featuring the characteristic orange-outlined Fusion logo. As part of SWAG's Modern Performance Line, it combines up-to-date technology with a symmetrical core design at an attractive price of 139.95 Euro. The Fusion uses the SWAG Fusion Core with a high RG of 2.54 and a differential of 0.036. This combination produces a controlled roll with an excellent flare potential of 4-5 inches. The Xplode Solid Reactive coverstock comes with a 3000-grit surface and offers excellent traction on medium to oily lanes. This pairing of a higher RG and the reactive coverstock creates a ball motion characterized by a controlled transition through the midlane and an even but powerful reaction on the back end. The ball is available in 13, 14, 15 and 16 pounds, offering options for players of all strength levels.

Comparison
Compared to other balls in the SWAG line, the Fusion positions itself as a versatile benchmark ball. Test results show that it has a noticeably more controlled and earlier hook potential than the Crazy Pearl. While the Crazy Pearl, with its polished surface, is better suited to drier lanes, the Fusion's 3000-grit surface delivers more control and consistency on oilier conditions. The balance between stability and reactivity is remarkable. Even though the ball reacts particularly sharply on the first few shots, the ball motion settles down after a few throws into consistent, predictable behavior. The Fusion is especially notable for its control across the various sections of the lane – it provides reliable hook in the midlane and retains enough energy for an explosive finish with excellent carry through the pin deck. Compared to asymmetrical constructions, the Fusion's symmetrical core offers more predictability and less dramatic changes of direction, which can be a particular advantage on more complex oil patterns.

On the Lanes
The Fusion proves exceptionally versatile for different player types. If you are speed-dominant, you'll benefit from the controlled roll on medium to drier conditions. The ball reads friction well and provides a continuous but not excessive reaction on the back end. That allows these players to stay farther right on the lane and still get enough hook for an effective angle to the pocket. For players with a balanced ratio of speed and rev rate, the Fusion works as an ideal benchmark ball on medium to oily house shots. The ball motion is stable enough to be forgiving, while the improved traction of the Xplode Solid coverstock provides sufficient hook potential. For rev-dominant players, the Fusion shows itself to be a reliable option for longer or higher-volume oil patterns. The increased traction of the advanced Xplode Solid cover allows these players to handle heavier oil conditions with confidence while still getting a controlled yet powerful reaction. The ball's versatility during the transition phase is especially impressive. When other balls become too unpredictable as lane conditions change, the Fusion holds on to its reliability. The combination of medium strength and symmetrical design lets players adjust their lines without compromising the fundamental ball reaction. In testing, the ball showed an excellent ability to hit the pocket consistently and generate impressive pin action. The Fusion finds the optimal balance between reacting too early and releasing its energy too late – a trait that makes it a valuable part of any serious bowler's arsenal who values control and consistency.
