First Impressions
The Motiv Forza GT comes in a stylish combination of black and grey solid with red pearl accents. It's driven by the symmetrical Torx core, which carries a 2.500 RG and a 0.051 differential. The coverstock is Helix Hybrid Reactive, finished at 4000 grit LSS. These specs mark the Forza GT as an extremely versatile benchmark ball. The slightly dull hybrid cover combined with the strong symmetrical core should let the ball get through the heads under control while generating a steady, continuous motion on the backend.
Comparison
Compared to the Motiv Forza Redline, which uses a pearl cover, the Forza GT's hybrid cover provides noticeably more bite in the midlane and a smoother, rounder reaction at the breakpoint. Against the Storm Hy-Road, which also uses a hybrid cover, the Forza GT produces a somewhat stronger and earlier overall hook thanks to its more aggressive core. When transition sets in and more friction develops on the lane, the Forza GT offers the stability needed to maintain a predictable path to the pocket on the changed boards.
On the Lanes
The Motiv Forza GT was built for medium lane conditions. It lets you get a clear picture of the oil pattern and play consistent lines across the boards without the ball making unpredictable jumps. The strong symmetrical core should keep the ball's continuation excellent for outstanding carry. On extremely heavy oil patterns or extremely dry lanes it could reach its limits, but it shines as a first ball change.
