First Impressions
The Brunswick Fortera Exile shows up in a striking Silver and Black Pearl color blend. At the heart of this model beats the asymmetric Fortera Flip Core, which carries a 2.505 RG, a strong 0.052 differential and a 0.012 intermediate differential. The outer layer consists of the Fortify Pearl Reactive coverstock, polished to a high shine at the factory with a Royal Compound finish. This combination of a rev-friendly core, high flare potential and an extremely smooth pearl cover should let the ball get through the front safely and generate a very sharp, hard-hitting move in the midlane.

Comparison
Compared to the Brunswick Fortera Intrigue, the Exile offers a noticeably longer skid phase and a far more consistent, extremely angular reaction at the breakpoint. Against the Storm Hy-Road Pearl, the asymmetric core delivers a somewhat stronger change of direction at the end of the pattern. Once the transition sets in and the lane builds up uneven friction, the Exile benefits enormously from its pearl dynamics. It takes excellent advantage of the dry spots to drive hard into the pin deck.

On the Lanes
The Brunswick Fortera Exile is best suited to lane conditions with medium oil volume. For strokers and tweeners it offers the option of playing the boards flexibly from deeper angles, since the cover minimizes unexpected reactions and finds strong hold in the backend. The steady drive toward the pocket should provide reliable carry. As soon as the lane gets extremely wet, however, the pearl cover can leave the ball grabbing too little and coming in flat.
