First Impressions
The Pyramid Force Pink Label (released September 2023) is an exclusive "Limited Edition" originally designed for the international market. Visually, the ball immediately catches the eye with its bright "Pink Pearl," but the first tactile impression reveals a technical particularity: unlike many pearl balls, which are often polished to a high gloss, the Pink Label comes out of the box with a 4000 Abralon finish (matte). At its center works the proven SG Precessional Asymmetric Core, which already powered the original Force. This combination of the GPS Navigational Pearl coverstock and the strong asymmetric core (RG approx. 2.53, diff 0.051) promises an interesting mix: the matte finish provides earlier traction than glossy pearls, while the pearl composition still preserves enough energy for the backend.
Comparison
Compared directly to the original Force (solid) series, the Pink Label runs a bit longer and cleaner through the heads, but reads the lane noticeably earlier than classic "skid-flip" pearl balls. Its motion characteristics recall balls like the RST X-4 from Roto Grip or the Eternity from 900 Global. Like those models, it uses the asymmetry to create a defined but not uncontrollable change of direction at the breakpoint. While a Hammer Black Widow 2.0 Hybrid may act somewhat more aggressively in oil, the Force Pink Label positions itself precisely in the gap between strong solid balls (for heavy oil) and glossy pearl balls (for drier lanes). The matte surface prevents the typical "over-skidding" in oil that plagues some pearl balls.
On the Lanes
This setup makes the Force Pink Label an excellent choice for medium-heavy oil conditions. It is ideal if you're looking for the "kick" of a pearl ball on the backend but want more security and traction in the midlane on fresh oil. On a typical house shot (THS), it can serve as the first ball out of the bag, since the 4000 finish forgives small inaccuracies at release and makes the lane transition easy to read. Two-handers and players with a higher rev rate will appreciate that, despite the pearl cover, the ball doesn't react too touchy at the breakpoint, but instead delivers a strong, continuous motion through the pocket.
