BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
With the Fire Road, Storm brings a fascinating new development to the market that impresses above all with its exceptional length and late reaction. Inside works the dynamic Inverted Fe2 core, which ensures a very clean motion through the front part of the lane with a 2.57 RG and a 0.046 differential. The R2X Pearl cover is specifically tuned to store the ball's energy extremely efficiently. The nature of the surface with a 1500-grit polished finish supports this property massively by letting the ball glide effortlessly through the heads without building friction early. Visually the ball is a real eye-catcher and immediately conveys that this model was designed primarily for later and sharper changes of direction. The technical match between core and cover is extremely harmonious and purposeful here.
Comparison
Comparing the Fire Road with the Storm Hy-Road Pearl, the glaring differences in backend reaction stand out immediately. The Storm Hy-Road Pearl tends to read somewhat earlier, while the Fire Road holds its energy a decisive fraction longer and then reacts noticeably more aggressively to the dry area. This property makes it the perfect complement in your arsenal when the Hy-Road Pearl starts losing energy in the pocket or entering too flat. Although both balls have a similar orientation toward lighter oil patterns, the Fire Road offers a noticeably more dynamic angle. It is the ideal solution for situations in which the Hy-Road Pearl no longer develops enough drive, since it generates the necessary entry angle.
On the Lanes
This ball shows its greatest strength when the lane has already been played on a bit and the transition has clearly set in. It needs a certain amount of friction in the backend to develop its characteristic hook, which delivers maximum, explosive carry. When the boards in the front part of the lane dry up, the ball lets you systematically move further inside and play the pocket from a much deeper angle. It is very well suited to medium to dry conditions and is an excellent choice if you're looking for a clean, responsive surface. Thanks to its forgiving nature on misses to the outside, it should keep your scores stable at a very high level even in the late stages of a tournament.
