First Impressions
The Storm Electrify Pearl comes in a Sky/Amethyst/Fuchsia color combination with a distinctive Frosted Cake scent. The technical heart is the Circuit Core with an RG of 2.51 and a low differential of 0.030. The cover is the proven Reactor Pearl coverstock with a 1500-grit polished finish. This combination should produce an IQ Tour-like shape and reaction on the lanes, but with a lower RG and a smaller differential. The Circuit Core is described as the ultimate benchmark weapon, which should deliver laser-like precision through the reduced RG value and medium differential. Comparison
The Electrify Pearl is described as a ball with an IQ Emerald feel for lighter oil. Compared to the Storm IQ Tour Emerald, the Electrify Pearl shows about 4 boards less hook overall, but the same shape only about a foot further down the lane, where it's needed on drier lanes. If the Storm Hy-Road Pearl is still too strong and you have to move left, you can move a bit right and go to the Electrify Pearl. Compared to the Roto Grip Hustle 3TP, both balls are very similar and work well under lighter conditions. Compared to the Electrify Hybrid, the pearl version is cleaner, longer and more angular on the backend. On the Lanes
This ball is best suited for medium to lighter oil, though it handles more oil than the Tropical Surge line or the Roto Grip Hustle series. The Electrify Pearl has its greatest success once the lanes have gone through transition and the pattern has blended. If you have a lower rev rate, you can go to the Electrify Pearl when your Storm Omega Crux or UFO is too strong. If you have a higher rev rate, you'll use it when you need to create angle through the heads and want a quick response time on the backend. High-rev players will like it on medium to dry lane conditions, while lower-end players can use it once the track has burned up. It's especially helpful on low-volume/medium-length patterns and in centers with a lot of surface friction.
