BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Storm Electrify G-O (Gold/Orange) brings color and fun to the lane and targets the segment for lighter oil conditions. Visually it's a real eye-catcher with its bright "Gold / Orange / Vanilla" pearl blend, accompanied by the typical Storm fragrance, here "Frosted Cupcake". Inside works the symmetrical Circuit core. At 15 lbs it has an RG of 2.51 and a differential of 0.030. These numbers stand for very controlled dynamics: the core doesn't want to rev up early, it wants to generate length. The cover is the proven Reactor Pearl Reactive coverstock, finished with Reacta Gloss. This combination of a weaker core and a hard, polished cover signals immediately that this ball wasn't built for oil, but for maximum skid through the heads and a defined, though not overly aggressive, backend reaction.
Comparison
Compared directly to the Storm Tropical Surge series, which often serves as an entry point, the Electrify G-O offers a bit more performance thanks to the Circuit core. It flares slightly more and provides a better entry angle, but uses the same Reactor cover technology. Compared to the Roto Grip Hustle series (e.g. Hustle Wine), the Electrify G-O often looks a tick longer and "cleaner" through the heads, since the Reactor cover has a little less traction than the VTC material of the Hustles. It is the logical "step down" from the Storm Hy-Road Pearl. When the Hy-Road reacts too strongly or reads too early, the Electrify offers even more length and a tamer reaction. It is the counterpart to the Electrify Solid (B/S/O), which works earlier and rounder; the G-O is the lively "fair weather" version.
On the Lanes
The Storm Electrify G-O is the absolute specialist for dry lanes, short oil patterns or heavily broken-down house shots. It's the lifesaver at the end of a long tournament day, when the heads are completely burned up and every other ball starts hooking right at your feet. Thanks to the high RG it glides effortlessly over those dry spots. For beginners it's a fantastic first reactive ball, since it forgives mistakes in speed and is easy to control. For advanced players with a high rev rate, it's often the only ball that stays controllable on "desert lanes" without losing energy for the pins. On fresh oil or heavy volume, however, it is completely out of place, because it will just skid there and show hardly any end motion.
