First Impressions
The 900 Global Dream Big shows up in a deep black and purple solid design. Inside works the asymmetric Identity core, which has a low RG of 2.480, a strong differential of 0.054 and an intermediate differential of 0.024. For the cover, the choice is the extremely tacky 74 Solid Reactive coverstock, sanded to a 4000 grit finish out of the box. This combination of an enormously strong asymmetric engine and the roughed-up shell should make the ball read the heads extremely early and build a brutal, asymmetric motion in the midlane.
Comparison
Compared directly to the 900 Global Respect Solid, the Dream Big is even more angular thanks to its massive intermediate differential and offers an extremely asymmetric reaction at the breakpoint. Against a ball like the Storm Alpha Crux, the Dream Big delivers comparably strong traction in the midlane. Once the transition on the lane sets in and friction increases, this ball tends to burn off its energy very quickly. It doesn't hold control on choppy boards optimally when the oil is gone.
On the Lanes
The 900 Global Dream Big shows its best performance on lane conditions with extreme oil volume. Because it reads the lane aggressively, it gives you the chance to tackle heavy oil patterns without the ball skidding through. On strong deliveries, the ball stores enough asymmetric energy to create a solid hit. The result is consistent carry. If friction in the midlane increases too much, however, you should switch to a weaker piece right away.
