BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
Released in April 2017 for the international market, the Storm Code Perfect adds a versatile hybrid variant to the elite Code series. At the heart of the ball spins the proven asymmetric RAD4 core, the hallmark of this line. At a reference weight of 15 pounds, this core delivers extremely aggressive numbers: a 2.50 RG encourages an early revup, while the very high 0.058 differential and the 0.020 intermediate differential stand for massive flare potential and strong torque. This dynamic engine is paired with the R2S Hybrid Reactive coverstock. This shell, a blend of solid and pearl components, comes finished from the factory with a 1500-grit polish. The technical configuration aims to close the gap between pure pearl balls and grippy solids by combining clean length through the heads with improved traction in the midlane.
Comparison Compared directly to the Storm Code Black, which uses a pure R2S Pearl shell, the Code Perfect offers a somewhat earlier and more stable reaction. While the Code Black is known for its extreme skid-flip character and can react sensitively to oil in the midlane, the hybrid mix of the Code Perfect noticeably smooths out that transition without losing the aggressive baseline character of the RAD4 core. It reads the lane earlier than the Code Black, but retains considerably more energy for the backend than the Storm Code Red (US version), if you view them as different batches (technically they are nearly identical). Compared with a symmetrical benchmark ball like the Storm Hy-Road, which uses the same cover chemistry, the Code Perfect generates significantly more angle and hitting power at the breakpoint thanks to its asymmetric core. It is more dominant in oil and calls for deeper lines than the controlled Hy-Road.
On the Lanes The Storm Code Perfect is made for medium to heavier oil conditions and shows its strengths especially during the transition phase. When pure solid balls start to burn up energy too early and pearl balls still react too skiddy, the Code Perfect offers the ideal balance. The polished hybrid surface glides effortlessly through the heads but builds enough friction in the midlane not to shoot past the breakpoint. Thanks to the strong asymmetric core, it is excellent for playing inside-out, since it returns reliably to the pocket even from steep angles. If you throw the ball fast, you'll benefit from the quick response of the core, while rev-dominant players will appreciate the control the hybrid shell provides compared to twitchy pearl balls. It is an all-purpose weapon for tournament players who need a ball that can adapt to changing conditions without losing carry.
