First Impressions
The Storm Code Blue presents itself as an Asian premium release in a classy pearl look. Inside works the extremely strong asymmetric RAD4 core, which shows a 2.500 RG, a massive 0.058 differential and a 0.020 intermediate differential. For the surface, Storm relies on the highly polished R2S Pearl Reactive cover. This combination of the asymmetric RAD4 core and the low-friction, smooth cover should let the ball clear the heads effortlessly and save all of its energy for a massive, asymmetric kick on the backend.

Comparison
Compared directly to the regular Storm Code Black, the Code Blue behaves extremely similarly and offers an identical, drastic backend motion. Against the Storm Alpha Crux, which uses a dull solid cover, the Code Blue delivers far cleaner length, but builds up a similarly powerful hook at the breakpoint thanks to the same asymmetric approach. When friction on the lane is high and the transition dries up the front part of the lane, the Code Blue preserves its energy excellently and reacts incredibly sharply.

On the Lanes
The Storm Code Blue is best suited to lane conditions with medium oil volume. For strokers and bowlers with moderate ball speed, it offers the option of playing deep lines, since the cover saves energy while the asymmetric core provides the massive response. The enormous drive toward the pocket should deliver convincing carry. On fresh, extremely heavy oil, however, this ball can lack traction because of the polished finish. It's a weapon for open angles.
