First Impressions
The Brunswick Brute Strength shows up with a massive black and red solid design. At its center works the enormous symmetrical Brute Low RG Core, which comes with a 2.490 RG and a moderate 0.043 differential. This core is wrapped in the high-performance Savvy Hook Solid Reactive coverstock, finished with a dull 500 and 3000 Siaair surface. The low RG gets the core rotating extremely quickly, which in combination with the massive cover should make the ball grab extremely early and produce an incredibly strong, smooth benchmark motion.
Comparison
Compared directly to the Brunswick Brute, which often features a smoother shell, the Brute Strength shows a drastically earlier and far rounder, more controlled reaction. Compared to the Storm Phaze II, the Brute Strength behaves very similarly in the midlane and offers steady motion in the oil. Once transition sets in over the course of the game and friction on the outside boards increases, the solid surface loses energy extremely quickly.
On the Lanes
The Brunswick Brute Strength was developed specifically for use on heavy oil lane conditions. It lets you generate the hook you need to cross boards effectively even on extremely fresh oil. The symmetrical core should optimize carry through a steady, heavy entry angle into the pocket. For dry or dried-up conditions this ball is completely overqualified; it burns up its energy in the heads and reaches the pins only weakly.
