BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Black Widow Ghost Pearl comes in as the white pearl version of the successful Black Widow series and was released in November 2021. The specs show a 2.50 RG, a 0.058 differential and a 0.016 mass bias differential. The core system is the legendary asymmetric Gas Mask Core, wrapped in a Carbon Fiber Outer Core for durability and power. The coverstock is Aggression Pearl Reactive with a factory finish of 500/1000/1500 Siaair plus Crown Factory Compound.
Comparison
Compared to the Black Widow 2.0, the Ghost Pearl offers more length and a sharper move off the dry. Against the Hammer Web Pearl, which uses the same coverstock, the Ghost shows a stronger and sharper backend reaction due to the different core. The Storm Phaze II has more hook potential than the Ghost Pearl and is better suited to heavy oil, while the Trident Quest as a high-performance ball offers slightly more hook potential, but both balls go longer down the lane and have a strong backend hook.
On the Lanes
The ball was designed for aggressive motion through the midlane and backend on medium to heavy oil conditions. The polished surface and the pearl coverstock help the ball travel down the lane, which is especially useful if you throw at lower ball speed. The ball proved very versatile and showed its best overall performance on medium oil with a very strong move off the dry. It works well for bowlers getting back into the game or looking to bowl more regularly, and makes an excellent choice for a new league ball. Bowlers appreciate its dependability, since it neither hooks too much nor too little.
