BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Storm Bill Chrisman is far more than just another entry in Storm's product line – it's a physical tribute to the late co-founder Bill Chrisman. Visually, the ball stands out immediately with its vibrant teal coloring. Technically, Storm relies on a legendary combination here: inside works the proven Inverted Fe2 Technology core, characterized by its higher RG (2.57 at 15 lbs) and a medium differential (0.046). This core is wrapped in the R2S Pro Reactive coverstock (a variation of the classic pearl formula), which comes with the shiny Reacta Gloss finish out of the box. These specs suggest that this ball was designed for easy length through the heads and a dynamic reaction on the backend.
Comparison
Placed side by side, the Storm Bill Chrisman carries the DNA of the legendary Hy-Road series. Anyone familiar with the reaction of Storm's Hy-Road Pearl will feel right at home here, since both use the same core. Compared to current benchmark balls like Storm's Phaze II, the Bill Chrisman generates noticeably more length and stores its energy longer for the backend. While the Phaze II already starts reading in the midlane, the Bill Chrisman glides effortlessly across the first few boards. Compared to Roto Grip's Hyped Pearl, the Bill Chrisman offers a somewhat more defined move late on the lane thanks to the Fe2 core. It positions itself as an ideal complement when stronger balls like Storm's Summit start losing energy too early.
On the Lanes
On the lanes, the Storm Bill Chrisman shows its strengths above all on medium to medium-dry conditions. It's the perfect choice when the heads start to dry up and balls with a rougher surface generate hook too early. Thanks to the high RG of the Inverted Fe2 core, the ball almost completely ignores early friction and should keep enough energy for carry. If you have lower ball speed, it helps get the ball down the lane without much effort. Rev-dominant players benefit from the control when the lane goes through transition and deeper angles become necessary. It lets you open up the pocket wide while reacting reliably at the breakpoint. For heavy oil patterns it's less suitable, since it could skid too much there.
