BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Columbia 300 Beast Blue Pearl comes in a bright blue look and is part of the relaunched Beast series from Columbia 300. Technically, the ball relies on the proven Beast core with its symmetric pear-shaped design, carrying an RG of 2.54 (15 lbs ball) and a differential of 0.033 (15 lbs ball). The cover is the Bend-It Pearl Reactive coverstock with a finish of 500 Siaair with Crown Factory Compound and Crown Factory Polish. This specification should deliver optimal length on drier lane conditions. The ball motion is characterized as skid/flip. Comparison
Compared to other balls in the entry-level category, the Beast Blue Pearl stands out with its high RG and low differential numbers, which allow hook to develop further down the lane with a moderate arc. Compared to the classic Storm Phaze II series, the Beast offers less aggressive hook potential but a more controllable reaction. The pearl formulation provides a versatile character with controllable, moderate hook, which sets it apart from stronger asymmetric core systems like the Storm Hyped Solid. The polished surface lets the ball glide well through the heads and still shows a noticeable reaction in the midlane despite the higher RG. On the Lanes
The Beast Blue Pearl was developed specifically for lightly oiled lanes and shows its strengths especially at low to medium oil volume. It works very well in situations with plenty of friction and broken-down lane conditions, when you want the breakpoint out beyond the friction that has built up. Recreational bowlers and serious bowlers alike will find a reliable partner in this ball for light oil conditions. The skid/flip motion lets you attack the pins effectively, and with its length and late reaction the ball plays to its strengths particularly on down-and-in lines. The entry-level positioning makes it an ideal choice if you're looking for a dependable ball for drier lane conditions without giving up performance.
