BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Motiv Ascent Apex Pink/Green stands out with an extremely bright pink and green pearl look. Inside works the symmetrical Recon Core, which shows a 2.590 RG and a low differential of 0.025. For the surface, Motiv relies on the Propulsion Pearl Reactive cover, polished to a high gloss out of the box. These specs should make the ball rev up extremely late and glide safely through the heads on dry lanes. The cover and the core offer the perfect mix of maximum length and a smooth hook in the backend.
Comparison
Compared directly to the Motiv Venom Shock, the Ascent Apex version shows noticeably longer ball motion, delivers less traction in oil and a much more controlled reaction at the breakpoint. Against the Storm Tropical Breeze, the Ascent Apex offers a comparably calm, steady hook thanks to its very high RG. When the transition changes the lane and dry spots appear, the smooth surface of the Ascent Apex keeps the ball from overreacting uncontrollably at the breakpoint.
On the Lanes
The Motiv Ascent Apex is most at home on dried-up and light lane conditions. It is an excellent option if you are looking for a clean and predictable ball motion when the lanes are heavily played. The symmetrical core creates a small angle at the breakpoint, which builds confidence when playing direct lines. The ball should secure carry through its late entry into the pocket. On very fresh patterns it will inevitably slide through.
