First Impressions
The Ebonite Adrenaline Shot comes in an extremely classy green and silver pearl color combination. At the heart of this model beats the powerful symmetric Adrenaline core, which features a low 2.500 RG and a strong 0.056 differential. The outer layer consists of the GB 12.0 Pearl coverstock, polished to a high gloss out of the box. This combination of an early-rolling, heavily flaring core and the smooth surface should let the ball create plenty of length while still delivering an extremely radical, strong, arcing reaction on the backend.
Comparison
Compared to the Ebonite Adrenaline Overload, the Adrenaline Shot offers noticeably less early traction but a far more aggressive backend reaction. Against the Storm Phaze, the Adrenaline Shot provides an extremely similar, sharp change of direction thanks to the smooth cover and the strong core. When friction on the lane increases and the transition dries up the front part of the lane, this ball reacts with tremendous bite. It stores its energy very well and releases it steadily but forcefully into the pocket. The hook is clean and assertive.
On the Lanes
The Ebonite Adrenaline Shot is best suited to lane conditions with medium oil volume. For strokers and tweeners it offers the option of playing deeper lines on lightly used patterns, since the surface finds no hold in the heads. The steady drive toward the pocket should deliver convincing carry, as the ball accelerates strongly through the pin deck. Once the lane is very wet, however, the ball can slide through. In those situations a dull cover is strongly advised.
