The DV8 Hater Pearl comes in an impressive color scheme of gray, purple and black with a striking pink logo treatment. This new release builds on the success of the original Hater and pairs the proven asymmetric Hater core with the innovative HK22C Havoc Pearl coverstock. With an RG of 2.539 (15 lbs), a differential of 0.054 and a substantial asymmetry of 0.024, the ball sits in the premium segment. The factory surface of 500, 1000, 1500 Siaair and Factory Compound provides an optimal balance between length and reaction strength. Technologically, the Hater Pearl impresses with the integration of DynamiCore for increased durability and hitting power, along with Durability Optimization Technology (DOT) to extend its lifespan. The HK22 coverstock uses advanced nano-micellular phase separation for improved transparency and optical brilliance.

Comparison
Compared to the original Hater Hybrid, the Hater Pearl shows noticeably more length and a more aggressive backend reaction. While the Hybrid rolls earlier and more continuously, the Pearl saves its energy for the backend and creates a pronounced change of direction at the breakpoint. The higher RG compared to many other asymmetric balls keeps the ball in the roll phase longer before it releases its energy. This characteristic clearly sets it apart from lower-RG balls, which typically begin to roll earlier. Particularly noteworthy is its versatile adaptability — while rev-dominant players can use the ball effectively at its factory surface, speed-dominant players benefit from a possible surface change to 3000 grit for a more controlled reaction impulse. Compared to Hammer's Black Widow series, the Hater Pearl offers a sharper change of direction with more angular motion, but less continuous ball motion through the midlane.

On the Lanes
The Hater Pearl is best suited to medium to heavy oil conditions and reaches its full potential when you give the ball enough room to work. The ball motion is characterized by strong midlane control and an explosive backend reaction, which results in impressive pin carry. It shows its strengths especially during transition phases, when friction areas develop along the outside of the lane. If you're speed-dominant, you'll appreciate the ball's ability to generate sufficient hook despite high speed, while rev-dominant players benefit from the controlled length that keeps the ball from losing its energy too early. The asymmetric core configuration also ensures that the ball largely retains its characteristic properties even after drilling — a significant advantage over many symmetric alternatives.
