First Impressions
The 900 Global Moxie shows up in an extremely menacing black and green solid color blend. At the heart of this model beats the asymmetric Tetra Core, which features a low RG of 2.490, a strong differential of 0.052 and an intermediate differential of 0.011. The outer layer consists of the grabby 74 Solid Reactive coverstock, finished at the factory with a 4000 grit matte surface. This combination of an early-revving engine and the heavy surface should make the ball grab extremely early and deliver a massive, heavy roll phase.
Comparison
Compared to the 900 Global Respect Solid, the Moxie offers noticeably more early traction and a far more arcing reaction in heavy oil. Against the Storm Crux, the Moxie delivers similarly massive midlane control and a strong snap at the breakpoint. When friction on the lane increases and the transition dries out the heads, this ball reacts extremely sensitively and burns up energy immediately. It needs wet oil.
On the Lanes
The 900 Global Moxie is best suited to lane conditions with extreme oil volume. For strokers and tweeners it offers the option of playing direct lines on freshly oiled patterns, since the surface finds immense hold in the heads. The steady drive toward the pocket should provide convincing carry, as the ball rolls extremely heavy through the pin deck. Once the lane dries up, however, the ball can hit flat. In those moments, a ball change is advisable.
