BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Track Proof Hybrid comes in a red-and-black color scheme and brings impressive numbers with it. The asymmetric Proof core shows a 2.519 RG and a 0.052 differential, which promises high flare potential. The Prime Response Hybrid coverstock is finished at the factory with a 500/3000 SiaAir Micro Pad, following the ball's release in January 2021. It also uses Brunswick's DynamiCore technology, which provides a more durable outer material and creates less compression at impact.
Comparison
The Proof Hybrid positions itself as the perfect fill between the Proof Pearl (too long) and the Proof Solid (too early). The hybrid cover retains more energy for the backend than a pure solid surface while also clearing the heads more cleanly. In practice there's roughly a 5-board difference between the three Proof models, with the Solid providing the strongest hook, followed by the Hybrid with more moderate ball motion and the Pearl with the most length. Compared to the Track Strata, the Proof has a higher RG and a higher differential, while the Prime Response Hybrid cover travels more cleanly through the heads than the Strata's QR-11 Solid.
On the Lanes
The Proof Hybrid is ideally suited to medium to heavy oil conditions and should deliver a strong midlane reaction with continuous motion on the backend. It's especially comfortable on medium oil or on lanes in transition, and it works well for playing the outside part of the lane. The rounded shape at the breakpoint should make it possible to get the ball into the dry quickly without it overreacting to the friction. The hybrid cover provides a controlled backend reaction without any jumpy behavior, which makes it a good choice for a variety of player types and playing styles. If you have an average rev rate, though, keep in mind that it's less suited to tight inside lines.
