The In2ition Solid uses the proven X-Type Core from the original In2ition, this time wrapped in the Prime ET Solid coverstock that debuted on the Paradox Red. The specs for 15 pounds show an RG of 2.48, a differential of 0.054 and an intermediate differential of 0.015. The surface comes at 500/1000 Abralon in a matte finish. Prime ET stands for Extra Traction and should generate additional traction in the midlane without compromising the backend. The color scheme is Purple/Dark/Bleu/Red, giving the ball a distinctive look.
Comparison
The combination is meant to preserve the well-liked ball reaction of the original In2ition, but with more action all the way down the lane. Compared to other asymmetric balls such as the Storm Phaze II, the In2ition Solid reads the lane earlier thanks to the Prime ET coverstock while still delivering strong backend performance. The solid version differs from the pearl original through increased traction in the midlane sections, which makes it less length-oriented than comparable pearl asyms in the EBI lineup. The X-Type Core was designed as a low RG asymmetric layout unlike any other, positioning the ball between more aggressive solid options like the Brunswick Quantum Bias and more moderate hybrid variants.
On the Lanes
The In2ition Solid is built for medium to heavy oil conditions and aims at players who need a controlled yet powerful reaction. The special mass distribution along the pin axis creates higher RG characteristics while retaining the low RG design, which produces constant core instability through the entire lane and strengthens the backend reaction. Power players benefit from the early midlane traction, while strokers will appreciate the controlled length and the strong backend. The chemists developed a traction-enhancing additive that modified the peaks and valleys of the Prime surface to create additional traction properties. The ball should show its strengths especially on longer sport patterns, since it saves enough energy for the backend while still offering the control needed in oilier conditions.
