BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Track In2ition shows up in a striking green/silver/black color scheme and combines the new asymmetric X-Type core with the Prime DT Pearl Reactive coverstock. The specs — a 2.48 RG (15 lb) or 2.50 (14 lb), a 0.054 differential and a 0.015 intermediate differential — put it squarely in the range of a classic asymmetric bowling ball build. The surface comes out of the box at 500/1000 Abralon with PowerHouse Factory Polish, which accounts for the typical pearl look and the corresponding ball motion.
Comparison
Compared to other asymmetric pearl balls, the In2ition does show some characteristics of its own. The X-Type core design was developed to create an asymmetric low-RG design that sets itself apart from the rest. The distinctive part is the spatial mass distribution along the pin axis, which produces higher RG properties while retaining the low-RG design intent. According to the manufacturer, this should create a constant state of mild core instability all the way down the lane and strengthen the backend reaction. Compared to the Track Paradox Red, which uses the I-Core 2.0, the In2ition offers a different kind of mass distribution through the new X-Type design and therefore a different reaction behavior in the backend.
On the Lanes
The In2ition is aimed primarily at bowlers looking for a versatile asymmetric pearl for medium to heavier oil volumes. In testing, the ball got through the heads easily, picked up strongly in the midlane and still offered a big move at the breakpoint — once it got going, it simply didn't stop. The Prime DT Pearl surface should provide delayed friction through the heads and midlane while increasing friction on the backend of the lane. The ball proved adaptable for a variety of styles — different testers were able to play different parts of the lane through the heads but reach similar breakpoints. The combination of low RG and high differential makes the In2ition especially interesting for power players and tweeners who need both control and backend performance. The polished pearl cover lets the ball hold its length across varying lane conditions and still store enough energy for a strong finishing move to the pocket.
