BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Track Triton Heat X-Treme presents itself as a strong candidate for demanding work. Inside this model sits a symmetrical core with a low RG and a high differential, giving it considerable flare potential. The outer layer is a reactive solid coverstock, sanded to a matte finish out of the box. This combination of a quick-revving core and a roughed-up surface should make the ball read the lane extremely early and produce a strong midlane reaction. The technical numbers point to a powerful and very continuous ball motion.
Comparison Compared to traditional pearl balls, the Triton Heat X-Treme picks up noticeably earlier thanks to its pure solid cover and offers stronger traction in the heads. Against the Storm Phaze II, the core of the Triton Heat X-Treme delivers a similarly pronounced and predictable change of direction at the breakpoint. When friction on the lane increases and the transition dries up the front part, this ball loses energy noticeably faster because of its early roll. Its hook on fresh oil, however, is clearly more robust and dependable than that of hybrid alternatives.
On the Lanes The Track Triton Heat X-Treme is best suited to lane conditions with medium to high oil volume. For strokers and tweeners, it offers the chance to play the outside boards confidently on fresh patterns, since the surface finds enough hold in the oil. The strong drive toward the pocket should deliver convincing carry. Once the lane dries up and you have to move to deeper lines, though, the ball can react too early and turn flat into the pins. At that point, a ball change is advisable.
