First Impressions
The Track Cyborg impresses with a classy Black and Blue Solid/Pearl hybrid design. At the heart of the ball works the asymmetric Cyborg Core with a 2.480 RG, a 0.043 differential and a 0.007 intermediate differential. The cover is the QR-7 Hybrid Cover, sanded at the factory with 500 and 2000 Abralon. This combination of low RG and very moderate asymmetry should make the ball read the heads steadily and develop a smooth, easily controllable hook in the midlane that doesn't overreact.
Comparison
Compared to the Track Paradox, the Cyborg shows noticeably less overall hook and a much gentler reaction due to its weaker differential and moderate asymmetry. Against the Storm Phaze II, the Cyborg offers a similarly predictable line, but uses its asymmetric weight for a minimal extra kick toward the pocket. When the transition changes the lane and friction increases, the Cyborg's hybrid cover keeps the ball from burning up completely. It stays usable on the lane for a very long time.
On the Lanes
The Track Cyborg is most at home on medium to heavy lane conditions. It's an excellent option for league bowlers looking for a reliable and not overly aggressive ball motion. The gentle asymmetric core produces a predictable path, which builds confidence when playing straighter lines. The ball should maximize carry through its continuous angle. If the oil pattern is extremely dry, however, the rough surface can eat up too much energy.
