First Impressions
The Track Hx16 arrives in a striking Blue and Silver Pearl/Hybrid color combination. Inside works the extremely strong asymmetric i-Core, which features a low RG of 2.480, a massive differential of 0.056 and an intermediate differential of 0.015. For the cover, Track relies on the DR-6 Hybrid Reactive coverstock, lightly polished out of the box. This combination of an enormously asymmetric engine and the smooth hybrid shell should make the ball glide extremely clean through the heads and build a very massive, angular roll phase in the backend.

Comparison
Compared directly to the Track Paradox, which uses a dull solid cover, the Hx16 delivers a considerably longer skid phase and, thanks to the i-Core, builds a much more angular hook at the breakpoint. Against the Storm Snap Lock, the Hx16 retains its energy outstandingly and reacts incredibly sharply toward the pin deck. When friction on the lane is high and the transition dries up the front part of the lane, this ball is in its element.

On the Lanes
The Track Hx16 is best suited to lane conditions with medium oil volume. For strokers and bowlers with moderate ball speed, it offers the option of playing deeper lines, since the cover stores energy while the asymmetric core provides the massive response off the friction. The steady drive toward the pocket should deliver convincing carry. On fresh, extremely heavy oil, however, this ball can lack early traction because of the polished finish.
