First Impressions
The Track Mx05 comes in a classic solid color blend that signals absolute control. At the heart of this model beats a symmetrical engine with a 2.500 RG and a moderate differential. The outer layer consists of the MR-4 Solid Reactive coverstock, sanded to a matte Abralon finish out of the box. This combination of a rev-happy core, medium flare potential and a moderately rough solid cover should make the ball start up extremely early while generating a smooth, quiet motion through the midlane.

Comparison
Compared to the Track Lx10, which turns considerably harder, the Mx05 offers a marginally gentler reaction at the breakpoint. Against the Storm IQ Tour Solid, the core delivers a nearly identical, tame change of direction. Once transition sets in and the lane builds up uneven friction, the Mx05 benefits enormously from its flat core dynamics. It doesn't tend to jump off dry spots uncontrollably, but instead smooths out the differences.

On the Lanes
The Track Mx05 is ideally suited for lane conditions with medium oil volume or for demanding, flat sport patterns. For strokers and tweeners it offers the option of playing very direct up the boards, since the surface minimizes unexpected reactions. The steady drive toward the pocket should deliver reliable carry, especially when absolute accuracy is required. As soon as the lane gets extremely wet, however, the ball's moderate differential can make it react too weakly.
