BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Storm PhysiX Power Elite uses the proven Atomic Core with a 2.48 RG and a 0.017 differential in the 15-pound version. The cover is the innovative NeX Pearl Reactive coverstock, which ships with a 1500-grit polished finish. The ball is offered with a peppermint scent and has a high flare potential of 6 inches and more. This combination of asymmetric core and pearl cover should provide controlled length with a strong backend.
Comparison
Compared to other balls in the PhysiX line, the Power Elite positions itself as the longer alternative to the original Storm PhysiX. While the original PhysiX, with its NRG Hybrid Reactive coverstock and 3000-grit Abralon finish, is laid out more for medium to heavy oil conditions, the Power Elite should offer more length thanks to its pearl cover and polished surface. The NeX coverstock reads earlier than NRG and provides 11% more entry angle as well as 9.6% more hook after 50 shots. Compared to the Storm Infinite PhysiX, which uses the ReX Pearl cover, the Power Elite offers more aggressive ball motion through the transition thanks to the NeX Pearl cover.
On the Lanes
The PhysiX Power Elite is especially suited if you need a longer, cleaner reaction through the heads on medium oil volumes but still want strong backend power. The pearl cover lets the ball travel cleanly through the front part of the lane, while the low RG of the Atomic Core gets the ball into motion early and requires less energy at the release. Strokers and speed-dominant players benefit from the longer reaction, while power players will appreciate the continuous hook motion through the pins. On fresh lane conditions the ball can be used as a first choice, while as friction increases a surface adjustment may become necessary.
