The Storm Marvel Thrill stands out as an exclusive international release with a bright pink and purple pearl design. Inside works the legendary symmetric Centripetal core with a 2.480 RG and a strong 0.050 differential. For the surface, Storm relies on a polished pearl reactive cover finished out of the box at 1500-grit polish. These specs should make the ball glide through the heads extremely effortlessly and unleash the massive, controllable power of the Centripetal core in the backend. The smooth cover provides length and agility.
Comparison
Compared directly to the Storm Marvel Pearl, the Marvel Thrill shows very similar ball motion, but slight cover adjustments give it a minimally more angular reaction in the dry part of the lane. Against the Storm Hy-Road, the more aggressive core gives the Marvel Thrill less length through the midlane, but a more consistent pop at the breakpoint. When transition changes the lane and dry spots appear, the Marvel Thrill's cover keeps the ball from giving up energy too early. It reacts sharp and powerful.
On the Lanes
The Storm Marvel Thrill is most at home on dried-up to medium lane conditions. It's an excellent option if you're looking for strong, clean ball motion once the lanes have been played on. The symmetric core creates a strong angle at the breakpoint, which builds confidence when playing deeper lines. The ball should secure carry through its quick entry into the pocket. On very fresh, extremely oily patterns, however, it may skid a bit too far through.
