First Impressions
The Radical Results Plus comes in emerald green and midnight blue and combines proven technology with some innovative updates. The surface is based on the TP-1+ coverstock, a further developed version of Radical's textured pearl technology. The core remains the familiar strong asymmetric core from the original Results, but now features Brunswick's DynamiCore technology. The specs show a 2.517 RG at 15 pounds and a 0.044 differential. Out of the box, the ball is finished with 500/1000 SiaAir and Crown Factory Compound.
Comparison
Compared to the original Radical Results, the Plus version offers more overall hook and better ability to get to the pocket. Against the Radical Results Solid, it shows better travel through the heads and a sharper move at the breakpoint, while still being stronger than the original. The combination of an extremely high center of mass and the strong TP-1 cover creates an early midlane reaction. The ball positions itself as a versatile option between the other Results versions and, according to the manufacturer, should be an excellent complement to the Radical Incognito to form a strong asymmetric duo.
On the Lanes
The Results Plus is best suited to medium to heavier oil volumes on house shot patterns. On typical house shots it plows through the oil and retains enough hitting power to deliver consistently strong reactions. The modified total and intermediate differential allow the desired ball motion without balance holes. If you have power, you'll benefit from the strong downlane motion and exceptional recovery. On lower oil volumes and short patterns the ball reaches its limits, where options with a higher RG and lower differential would be a better fit. The DynamiCore technology should provide increased hitting power and improved pin carry, while the pearl characteristics promise more length down the lane with an explosive backend reaction.
