First Impressions
The Radical Results comes in an eye-catching red-and-gold pearl finish and sits in Radical's upper performance class. The ball features a new asymmetric core with a medium RG of 2.517", a medium differential of 0.044" and a very high intermediate differential of 0.027". This core is paired with the TP-1 coverstock formulation, a textured pearl surface at 1000 SiaAir with Crown Factory Compound finish. DynamiCore technology should provide less compression at impact, which increases hitting power and improves carry.
Comparison
Side by side, the Results shows clear differences from other balls in the Radical family. If you have a low rev rate, you got improved miss room on medium oil compared to other Radical balls, with misses inside often still striking, while the same mistake with The Closer Pearl usually left a 2 pin. The textured pearl surface of the Results provides stronger traction in oil than The Closer Pearl. The increased intermediate differential should create a more dramatic change of direction than previous Radical balls, while at the same time improving continuation through the pins and carry.
On the Lanes
The Results is particularly suited to bowlers who need a strong reaction at the breakpoint on medium to heavier oil conditions. The combination of technologies gives low rev players a huge move at the breakpoint and helps them create big entry angles for their rev rate. All three testers had their best reactions with this ball on medium oil patterns. The TP1 surface is strong enough for heavier volumes but can be adjusted for medium conditions. The new core technology should create a more dramatic move off the spot while maintaining the continuation and shape that made Radical the technology leader in the industry. The ball is aimed at experienced bowlers who need an aggressive backend reaction without extra holes or special layouts.
