BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Radical Beyond Ridiculous was released in January 2018 as a direct evolution of the Ridiculous series and stands out with its bright green pearl look. Technically, the ball is built around the proven symmetrical core with scoops, whose unique shaping aims to simulate the dynamics of an asymmetrical ball within a symmetrical design. With a 2.54 RG and a 0.050 differential at 15 pounds, the core is laid out for length and a strong backend reaction. The technological update lies in pairing this core with the Ai-30 Pearl Reactive coverstock. This cover was chemically tuned to provide more overall hook strength than the previous models. The ball ships with a 500 Siaair base polished to a high gloss with Crown Factory Compound to allow effortless skid through the heads.
Comparison Compared to the original Radical Ridiculous, the Beyond Ridiculous offers more traction in oil thanks to the stronger Ai-30 Pearl cover, without losing the series' typical skid/flip character. Where the predecessor sometimes reacted too sensitively on very dry backends, the Beyond Ridiculous shows a more stable continuation through the pins. Set it next to the Storm Phaze II and the stark difference in ball motion becomes obvious: the Phaze II is a controlled benchmark solid, while the Beyond Ridiculous is a pure long-and-strong option that reacts considerably later and makes a more angular change of direction. Compared to the Radical Katana, an asymmetrical high-performance ball, the Beyond Ridiculous offers a more predictable move at the breakpoint, but has a similarly impressive angle creation for a symmetrical ball. Compared to entry-level pearls like the Brunswick Rhino, the Beyond Ridiculous offers noticeably more flare potential and a more massive backend reaction.
On the Lanes The Radical Beyond Ridiculous is primarily designed for medium oil conditions and is the ideal choice when the lanes start to break down and the heads are already drying up. The polished pearl surface should let it clear the first boards cleanly and save all of its energy for an aggressive hook into the pocket. It is especially effective if you like to play steep angles and want to see an explosive reaction at the breakpoint to optimize carry. On a typical house shot (THS), the ball allows deeper lines from the middle of the lane out to the friction. Thanks to the special core technology, it forgives smaller mistakes in ball speed and offers unusually strong continuation into the pins for a pearl ball. Once the oil volume gets very high or the patterns are very long, however, the Beyond Ridiculous could skid too long, which is why it plays to its strengths best as a transition ball in the second or third game.
