The Hammer Web Tour Edition Hybrid comes in a classy black-and-blue design as a performance upper mid bowling ball. The core is the symmetrical Spheroid TE core with a 2.47 RG and a 0.030 differential in the 15-pound ball. The coverstock is the TourV1 Hybrid with a factory finish of 500/1500 Siaair Micro Pad. This technical package should deliver a strong midlane read with a continuous backend. The ball was released in September 2020 and positions itself as a further development of the popular Web Tour Solid. The hybrid blend of solid and pearl components promises an optimized balance between control and power.
Comparison
Compared to the Radical Bonus, which serves a similar purpose, the Web Tour Hybrid shows more surface bite and a hook-set type of motion, while the Bonus has a somewhat smoother transition from hook to roll. As the successor to the original Web Tour, the hybrid version offers the same characteristics as the original, though the solid-pearl blend provides a bit more length and continuation through the back part of the lane. The hybrid version offers the same versatility as the Web Tour but adds a little more motion down lane to create that turn when the lanes get tough.
