First Impressions
The Hammer Fugitive presents itself as an attractive mid-performance ball in a striking red-silver color combination. The ball comes in a beautiful red-silver color design with a pearl surface. Technically, the Fugitive relies on the new symmetrical Fugitive Core with a low RG of 2.486 at 15 pounds and a high differential of 0.052. The new Fugitive Core is a symmetrical core with low RG and high differential, which should deliver predictable ball motion. The cover is the proven Juiced Pearl coverstock, which was already used on the Rebel Yell. Combined with a 500/1000 Siaair/Crown Factory Compound surface, it should offer good length with a strong skid-flip motion on broken-down lanes. If you need a ball that lets you really chase the oil that has migrated left, the Fugitive should be your first choice. It works excellently as a go-to ball on house shots when bigger balls start reacting too early, and it offers clean motion through the heads with a predictable and controllable backend. At factory finish, it is best suited for everyday league conditions through tournament conditions later in the event, when the lanes get drier. Its versatility shows in how adjustable it is: with a rougher surface prep, the strength of the Juiced Pearl cover becomes more apparent and the Fugitive works better on somewhat slicker to medium conditions. It earns good ratings on both house shots and sport patterns, and simply delivers good ball motion.
