BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Ebonite Omni Hybrid comes in an attractive Teal/Purple/Blue color scheme and was released in 2020 as an upper-mid performance ball. The specs show a 2.501 RG at 15 pounds, a 0.050 differential and a 0.013 intermediate differential. The core is the asymmetric Omni Weight Block, wrapped in the GSV 2.0 Hybrid coverstock. The factory surface is 500/1000 SiaAir with Crown Factory Compound. The ball features DynamiCore technology, which should provide more durability and less compression, potentially increasing hitting power.
Comparison
The Omni core has a higher RG, a lower differential and a lower intermediate differential than the Mod-1 cores of the Ebonite Choice series. The ball motion is earlier and smoother than that of the Ebonite Choice Pearl, which makes it a good choice for medium lane conditions. In testing the ball started further left than the Choice Pearl, Game Breaker 3 Black/Blue and Game Breaker 3 Pearl, but further right than the Ebonite Futura and Vortex V2. The manufacturer positions the Omni Hybrid as the ideal alternative when the Omni Solid or Aero Dynamix react too strongly.
On the Lanes
The ball is designed for medium to heavy lane conditions and offers late length with a strong backend. The polished GSV 2.0 Hybrid surface combined with the predictable Omni core should deliver an aggressive but predictable midlane motion that makes the ball very user-friendly. On fresh medium lane conditions the ball shows a strong reaction at the breakpoint, while the relatively strong midlane motion also allows it to be used on heavy lanes. The shiny surface prevents over-skidding once the track starts to develop, so you can move left without trouble. The combination of the consistent Omni core and the polished hybrid surface creates a predictable but aggressive midlane motion that makes this ball very user-friendly.
