BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Ebonite Allure comes in an attractive purple/silver color combination and features a new symmetrical Allure core configuration with DynamiCore technology. With a 2.475 RG (15 pounds) and a 0.049 differential, the ball slots into the upper-mid performance category. The cover is a new version of the proven Traxion SF Pearl Reactive coverstock, finished with 500/1000/3000 Siaair and Crown Factory Compound polish. The Allure was one of the first new releases from Ebonite after the takeover by Brunswick Bowling in November 2019.
Comparison
The Allure positions itself as a more controllable pearl ball compared to more aggressive options from the competition. While the Ebonite Omni, released at the same time, recalled the legendary Ebonite V2 and suited heavy lane conditions, the Allure offers a more balanced solution for medium conditions. The Allure Solid version that followed later was meant to be a stronger version of the pearl ball, in order to handle higher oil volume. Compared to other mid-performance pearls of the era, the Allure is less jumpy than something like the Hammer Fugitive with its skid/flip motion, and should instead deliver a more continuous ball motion.
On the Lanes
The Ebonite Allure should play to its strengths on medium oil conditions and deliver a strong backend reaction. The symmetrical core should provide a strong midlane reaction with good continuation, which makes it interesting if you need a reliable, predictable ball reaction. According to the manufacturer, the ball shows its versatility both playing straight up the 10 and with angles of 25 to 5. The ball was popular with testers and was expected to find its way into a lot of bowling bags. If you're looking for a controllable pearl option with strong continuation while playing medium conditions, the Allure offers a solid foundation for consistent performance.
