BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The Ebonite Omni comes in a classic black-and-blue color combination and was released on February 20, 2020. At its heart sits the new asymmetric Omni core with DynamiCore technology, wrapped in the proven GSV 2.0 Solid coverstock and finished out of the box with 500/2000 Siaair Micro Pad. The specs for 15-pound balls show a 2.501 RG, a 0.050 differential, and a 0.013 mass bias. The high flare potential already points to pronounced hook characteristics.
Comparison
The resemblance to the legendary V2 is no accident — both in looks and in ball motion, the Omni is strongly reminiscent of that classic. The smooth yet aggressive arcing motion of the V2 core now shows up in asymmetric form. You could call it the first asymmetric Gamebreaker. Compared to other Ebonite balls, the Omni core has a higher RG, a lower differential, and a lower intermediate differential than the Mod-1 cores of the Choice line. In testing it slotted in between more aggressive balls like the Ebonite Futura and Vortex V2 and more moderate ones like the Game Breaker 3 Black/Blue and Game Breaker 3 Pearl.
On the Lanes
The Omni is designed primarily for heavy oil volume and should deliver strong midlane and backend reaction. Its strength lies in reading the end of the lane smoothly and then arcing powerfully. Despite that smooth motion, the angle it creates shouldn't be underestimated — it just happens in a controlled, predictable way. The GSV 2.0 surface allows for strong midlane friction and backend reaction across a variety of lane conditions and playing styles. The versatility in particular makes it a dependable partner, while the DynamiCore technology promises added hitting power and control. Ideally suited for power-oriented bowlers on fresh lanes and for power players who prefer a predictable hook shape.
