BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
The DV8 Creed Revelation was released in February 2018 as a powerful addition to the Creed series and stands out with its striking color combination of purple, charcoal, and red pearl. Technically, the ball is built on the proven Creed Low RG Asymmetric core, which with a 2.496 RG and a 0.055 differential (at 15 pounds) is designed for early-starting rotation and massive flare potential. The key innovation is the Composite Flip Pearl coverstock, developed specifically to extend the skid phase through the heads while showing an extremely aggressive reaction to friction. The ball comes from the factory with a 500 Siaair finish and Crown Factory Compound, giving it a shiny, highly polished look and underscoring its skid/flip character.
Comparison Compared directly to the original DV8 Creed, the Creed Revelation offers noticeably more length and a distinctly sharper change of direction at the breakpoint. While the original Creed already showed a strong backend motion, the Revelation should react even later thanks to a new composite additive in the cover, thereby allowing steeper entry angles. Compared to the Storm Phaze II, known for its controlled and continuous motion, the Creed Revelation is considerably more abrupt and aggressive once it reaches the end of the oil. Compared to the DV8 Creed Rebellion, the solid version of the series, the Revelation reads the midlane far less and saves all of its energy for an explosive hook on the backend. Against a ball like the Brunswick Melee Jab Blood Red, the Creed Revelation shows stronger dynamics due to its asymmetric core and handles more volume in the pocket.
On the Lanes The DV8 Creed Revelation is primarily designed for medium oil conditions and is the ideal choice if you prefer a pronounced skid/flip reaction. With its ability to get through the heads almost effortlessly, it works excellently in situations where dull balls react too early or "starve" in the midlane. The asymmetric core design ensures that the ball retains enough power even on wide angles across many boards to guarantee excellent carry. It is especially effective if you like to send the ball well outside and want to see a violent reaction back to the pocket. Once the transition sets in and the front part of the lane dries up, the Creed Revelation allows a move to deeper lines without losing hitting power at the pins. On very dry wood, however, the reaction could turn out too strong, which is why it plays to its strengths best on fresh to lightly used medium patterns.
