The DV8 Rude Dude shows up in an extremely menacing Neon Orange and Black Solid color mix. Inside works the symmetric Dude Core, which carries a 2.520 RG and a strong 0.040 differential. For the cover, DV8 relies on the Class 7G Solid Reactive coverstock, polished to a high shine out of the box with 500 Siaair and Royal Compound. This combination of the moderate core and the polished solid cover should let the ball glide extremely cleanly through the heads and build a very strong, controlled roll phase on the backend.

Comparison
Compared directly to the DV8 Dude, which uses a pearl cover, the Rude Dude delivers a slightly shorter skid phase and a steadier, rounder hook at the breakpoint. Against the Storm Hy-Road, the Rude Dude offers similarly dependable traction in the midlane thanks to its solid cover. When friction on the lane is high and the transition dries up the front part of the lane, the Rude Dude preserves its energy very well and reacts predictably toward the pin deck.

On the Lanes
The DV8 Rude Dude is best suited to lane conditions with medium oil volume. If you're a stroker or throw at moderate ball speed, it gives you the option to play direct to moderate lines, since the cover stores energy well. The steady drive toward the pocket should deliver convincing carry. On fresh, extremely heavy oil, however, this ball can come up short on traction because of the polished finish.
