The Columbia 300 Blur Solid turns every head with its eye-catching blue and pink solid design. At the center of this model beats the symmetrical Blur Core, which carries a high 2.560 RG and a moderate 0.031 differential. The outer layer consists of the Solid Reactive coverstock, sanded to 2000 Abralon out of the box. This combination of a late-revving engine and the rough surface should let the ball read the heads reliably and deliver a predictable, smooth arc.

Comparison
Compared to the Columbia 300 Blur Pearl, the Blur Solid grabs noticeably earlier and offers a steadier, smoother and shorter skid phase. Next to the Storm Match Solid, the Blur Solid creates a far more controlled and rounder motion thanks to the high RG. Once the transition sets in and the front part of the lane dries up, the Blur Solid is very consistent. It calls for moderate lines in order to carry its steady dynamics into the pins without reacting too sharply.

On the Lanes
The Columbia 300 Blur Solid finds its preferred territory on light to medium lane conditions. It is the perfect choice if you need a dependable control reaction. The ball skids well through the heads and generates a steady hook toward the pocket. The balanced reaction helps hold the line. The ball should secure carry through continuous drive. On extremely heavy, fresh oil, however, this ball is often too weak.
