First Impressions
The Columbia 300 Disorder shows up in an extremely bright Blue, Black and White Pearl color combination. The heart of this model is the asymmetric Disorder Core, which features a 2.500 RG, a strong 0.054 differential and a 0.015 intermediate differential. The cover is the Bend-It Pearl Reactive coverstock, brought to a high shine at the factory with a 1500 grit polished finish. The moderate RG lets the core rev up in a very defined way, while the polished shell should keep the ball gliding very safely through the heads and still building up massive energy.
Comparison
Compared to the Columbia 300 Mad Antics, which uses a hybrid cover, the Disorder grabs noticeably later and offers a considerably more stable, steadier skid phase. Against the Storm Code Black, the Disorder creates a very similar, moderate asymmetric motion on medium lanes with an angular hook at the end. Once the transition sets in and the front part of the lane dries up, this ball is extremely effective. It uses the friction perfectly to react with power.
On the Lanes
The Columbia 300 Disorder finds its preferred territory on medium lane conditions. It is the perfect choice if you need a ball on broken-down patterns that slides easily through the heads and generates a steady, massive hook toward the pocket. The pearl reaction helps keep you from overthrowing the breakpoint. The ball should secure carry through a clean asymmetric entry angle. On extremely heavy oil patterns, however, this ball is often too weak.
