The MOTIVator-Z Pearl cover is specifically tuned to store the ball's energy extremely efficiently. The nature of the surface with a polished finish supports this characteristic massively, letting the ball glide effortlessly through the heads without building friction early. Visually the ball is a real eye-catcher and immediately conveys that this model was designed primarily for later and sharper changes of direction. Comparing the QZ1 Red with the Storm Tropical Surge, the glaring differences in backend reaction stand out immediately. The Storm Tropical Surge tends to read a bit earlier, while the QZ1 Red holds its energy a decisive fraction longer and then reacts noticeably more aggressively to the dry area. That characteristic makes it the perfect complement in your arsenal when the Tropical Surge starts to lose energy in the pocket or enter too flat.
