BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
With the QZ1 Red, Motiv brings a fascinating new development to the market that impresses above all with its exceptional length and late reaction. Inside works the dynamic Quadfire core, which with a 2.55 RG and a 0.043 differential ensures a very clean motion through the front sections of the lane. The MOTIVator-Z Pearl cover is specifically tuned to store the ball's energy extremely efficiently. The nature of the surface with a polished finish supports this characteristic massively, letting the ball glide effortlessly through the heads without building friction early. Visually the ball is a real eye-catcher and immediately conveys that this model was designed primarily for later and sharper changes of direction. The technical match between core and cover here is extremely harmonious and purposeful.
Comparison
Comparing the QZ1 Red with the Storm Tropical Surge, the glaring differences in backend reaction stand out immediately. The Storm Tropical Surge tends to read a bit earlier, while the QZ1 Red holds its energy a decisive fraction longer and then reacts noticeably more aggressively to the dry area. That characteristic makes it the perfect complement in your arsenal when the Tropical Surge starts to lose energy in the pocket or enter too flat. Although both balls have a similar orientation toward lighter oil patterns, the QZ1 Red offers a noticeably more dynamic angle. It is the ideal solution for situations in which the Tropical Surge no longer develops enough drive, since it generates the necessary entry angle.
On the Lanes
This ball shows its greatest strength when the lane has already been played on a bit and the transition has clearly set in. It needs a certain amount of friction in the backend to develop its characteristic hook, which provides maximum, explosive carry. As the boards in the front part of the lane dry up, the ball allows you to move systematically further inside and attack the pocket from a considerably deeper angle. It is very well suited to medium to dry conditions and is an excellent choice if you're looking for a clean, responsive surface. With its forgiving nature on misses to the outside, it should keep scores stable at a very high level even in the late stages of a tournament.
