BOWLING BALL INFOS

First Impressions
With the QZ2 Black/Blue Pearl, Motiv brings a fascinating new development to the market, one that stands out above all for its exceptional length and late reaction. Inside works the dynamic QZ2 core, which with a 2.54 RG and a 0.045 differential ensures very clean motion through the front sections of the lane. The pearl reactive cover is specifically tuned to store the ball's energy extremely efficiently. The surface, with a polished finish, supports this trait considerably by letting the ball glide effortlessly through the heads without building friction early. Visually the ball is a real eye-catcher and immediately conveys that this model was designed primarily for later and sharper direction changes. The technical match between core and cover is exceptionally harmonious and purposeful here.
Comparison
Comparing the QZ2 Black/Blue Pearl with the Storm Tropical Surge, the striking differences in backend reaction are immediately apparent. The Storm Tropical Surge tends to read a bit earlier, while the QZ2 Black/Blue Pearl holds its energy a decisive fraction longer and then reacts far more aggressively to the dry area. That trait makes it the perfect complement in your arsenal when the Tropical Surge starts to lose energy in the pocket or enter too flat. Although both balls are aimed at similar lighter oil patterns, the QZ2 Black/Blue Pearl offers a noticeably more dynamic angle. It is the ideal solution for situations in which the Tropical Surge no longer develops enough drive, since it generates the necessary entry angle.
On the Lanes
This ball shows its greatest strength once the lane has been played on a bit and the transition has clearly set in. It needs a certain amount of friction in the backend to develop its characteristic hook, which produces maximum, explosive carry. As the boards in the front part of the lane dry up, the ball lets you systematically move further inside and attack the pocket from a much deeper angle. It works excellently on medium to dry conditions and is an excellent choice if you're looking for a clean, responsive surface. Thanks to its forgiving nature on misses to the outside, it should keep your scores stable at a very high level even in the late stages of a tournament.
