With the Sniper, Motiv brings a fascinating new development to market, one that stands out above all for its exceptional length and late reaction. Inside works the dynamic Hollow Point core, which with a 2.68 RG and a 0.010 differential ensures a very clean motion through the front sections of the lane. The polyester cover is specifically tuned to store the ball's energy extremely efficiently. The nature of the surface with a Polished finish supports this quality enormously, letting the ball glide effortlessly through the heads without building friction early. Visually the ball is a real eye-catcher and immediately communicates that this model was designed primarily for later and sharper changes of direction. Comparing the Sniper with the Ebonite Maxim, the glaring differences in backend reaction are immediately apparent. The Ebonite Maxim tends to read a bit earlier, while the Sniper holds its energy a decisive fraction longer and then reacts noticeably more aggressively to the dry area. That quality makes it the perfect complement in your arsenal when the Maxim starts to lose energy in the pocket or enters too flat. Although both balls are aimed at lighter oil patterns, the Sniper offers a palpably more dynamic angle. On the Lanes
This ball shows its greatest strength once the lane has already been played on a bit and the transition has clearly set in. It needs a certain amount of friction in the backend to develop its characteristic hook, which produces maximum, explosive carry.
