First Impressions
The Motiv Graffiti Tag turns every head with its bright Neon Green and Silver Pearl design. Inside works the extremely fast symmetric Halogen core, which carries a high RG of 2.550 and a moderate differential of 0.037. For the cover, Motiv relies on the Agility MXR Pearl Reactive coverstock, polished to an extremely high shine with a 5500 grit LSP finish out of the box. These specs should make the ball get into a very late read and skid lightning-fast through the heads on dry lanes. The cover provides massive snap on the backend.
Comparison
Compared directly with the Motiv Venom Shock, the Graffiti Tag shows noticeably longer ball motion, delivers less traction in oil and a much more angular reaction at the breakpoint. Against the Storm Sky Rocket, the Graffiti Tag offers an extremely sharp and fast hook thanks to its particular cover. When transition changes the lane and dry spots appear, the smooth surface of the Graffiti Tag keeps the ball from burning up energy early. It reacts crisply and explosively.
On the Lanes
The Motiv Graffiti Tag is most at home on dried-up and light lane conditions. It's an outstanding option if you're looking for a clean and angular ball motion once the lanes are heavily played. The symmetric core creates a very clear angle at the breakpoint, which builds confidence when playing wider lines. The ball should secure carry through its late entry into the pocket. On fresh oil, however, it slides right through.
